The Corvette and general automotive aftermarket produce a tremendous number of new products all the time. Here are four products that made their debut in April of 2010.
If your Corvette is a C5 or C6 (which is to say, made since 1996) then it offers On Board Diagnostics, second revision (OBDII). This is a computer-based service that keeps track of the dozens of sensors that control your engine, transmission, traction and stability control, antilock brakes, and more. If you see the Check Engine light, the problem could be coming from any sensor in the car. An OBDII code scanner is an affordable way to check those codes and let your car tell you exactly what's wrong. This new scanner from Actron includes state of the art features such as live real-time readings while the engine is running and the ability to update from the Internet in the future.
This product is useful on heavily modified Corvettes. If you want to add an Oxygen (O2) sensor to your exhaust to measure your air-fuel ratio and drive a gauge on your dashboard, this no-weld kit makes the job easy. Just drill a hole for the sensor and clamp this strap around the exhaust pipe with its supplied gasket, then install the sensor. No welding is necessary! The kit comes in standard exhaust pipe sizes from 2 inches to 3.5 inches in diameter.
