The range of colors for Corvettes is always a subject of much controversy - especially the introduction of a new color. Corvettes are supposed to be in-your-face cars, and so strong colors are a mainstay. Red, yellow, orange, and as always, the basic black.
For 2012, Chevy is dropping the Jetstream Blue Metallic color, and replacing it with a new light blue called Carlisle Blue - in honor of the Corvettes at Carlisle event held each August in Pennsylvania. As you can see, the new color is a pleasant shade, and less obtrusive than Atomic Orange or some of the other Corvette standards.
The first 2012 production model in Carlisle Blue will be on display at this year's Carlisle event, August 26-28, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
