Mid America Motorworks in Effingham, Illinois has announced the first annual C3 Fest to be held May 19-21, 2011. The event is designed specifically for C3 Corvette (1968-1982) owners, and the three-day event promises to be jam-packed with activities for the C3 enthusiast.
Mid America Motorworks is one of the leading aftermarket Corvette suppliers, and already organizes several annual events such as Swapfest and Corvette Funfest, as well as attractions like the MY Garage Museum with a one-of-a-kind car collection.
C3 Fest pairs the Corvette passion with unique local activities that celebrate the fun of the hobby. The weekend plans include C3-related seminars, a low speed autocross, a tour of downtown Effingham and a road trip to the rustic Moonshine Café for lunch. As you would expect with any Corvette meet, the first annual C3 Fest will also include a show and shine and an awards dinner. One special seminar has been organized featuring Chief Cheerleader Mike Yager giving the first-ever preview of his new book. (Check back here tomorrow for full details on this book!)
While this event is open to all C3 owners, the C3 Vette Registry has also scheduled their 9th Annual member gathering during C3 Fest. C3VR is the best resource on the internet for C3 Vettes and has more than 657 members. Attendees of C3 Fest will have the opportunity to meet several C3VR members, attend a C3VR meeting and learn more about the group.
Registration for the C3 Fest is $30 per person. For the latest up-to-date details and to register, visit the registration page at www.mamotorworks.com.
