Speculating on the possible designs of the next-generation "C7" Corvette (due on or about the 2013 model year) is one of the most popular activities in the Corvette blogosphere, and the only common factor is that no one outside of GM's design studios really knows what's in the works. We can hypothesize on Swedish mid-engined all wheel drive transmissions and twin-turbocharged V6 engines or even about hybrid designs, but the fact of the matter is that until the new Corvette is officially unveiled, it's all just so much hot air. GM is really good at keeping secret things secret.
But in the midst of all that, along comes design student James Robbins, and he's taken the Corvette world by storm with his excellent renderings of his vision of what the C7 Corvette might look like. Every Corvette pundit, magazine, and blog website in the world is carrying these photos this week, and they're really good, so I'm jumping on the wagon. I'll be happy if the new 'Vette looks like this guy's design!
