Cars & Coffee is a great idea that's catching on all over the United States and beyond. It's a simple enough plan: get a space to park where there's some coffee available and show up for a couple of hours on the weekend with your awesome ride. Cars may range from antiques to late-model exotics, and there are no rules, no classes, no trophies, and no entry fee.
The Cars & Coffee website will show you the "official" locations for the organized C&C activities, but other cities such as my own Portland, Oregon have adopted the idea. It's a great thing to just head out with your Corvette and interact with other car enthusiasts with nothing on the agenda except to have a good time.
However, (you knew there was a however, right?) there are certain things you really should not do at any car show. Perhaps one of the top 3 things you should never do is lose control of your car and run over spectators. But that's just what one feckless driver did in Houston, Texas over the Labor Day weekend. Luckily, no one was injured, but I'll bet that driver never pulls a bonehead stunt like this again. The SUI (Sudden Unintelligence Incident) starts about 15 seconds into the video.
