Weigh In - What Does Chevrolet Mean To You?

Follow me on:

Columnist Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press has written an excellent article on the meaning of Chevrolet. As an iconic American brand, the Chevrolet idea is central to restoring GM's vigor and profitability. Phelan asks how we should distill the essence of Chevrolet into a memorable sentence - it's a standard marketing exercise, but one that GM has not done well in some time.

Personally, I always liked "Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet, They Go Together in the Good 'Ole USA." But GM probably wants something else this year. Still, Phelan has challenged each of us to come up with a new tag line for Chevy and post it at his blog. And you never know - if the stars align correctly, GM might pick your slogan. Stranger things have happened.
